Beverly Benner-Ogle

As a founding member of the Maidu Summit Consortium, Vice Chairperson Beverly Benner Ogle has been with the organization from its inception. Beverly is also a founding member of the Tásmam Kojóm Foundation, an MSC member organization tied most closely to MSC’s acquisition of Humbug Valley. Benner-Ogle is long-time advocate for protections of cultural resources related to the Mountain Maidu and other surrounding tribes as well. She is a Maidu scholar who has produced many works related to Maidu culture and History. She is the author of three books, most recently, “An Ethnography and History of the Mountain Maidu of Tásmam Kojóm.”
